We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high quality and affordable healthcare to residents of metropolitan Richmond. We have two medical centers in our network: Vernon J. Harris Medical Center in Church Hill and Main Street Medical Center near Shockoe Bottom. 68% of our patients are uninsured and face huge health, economic, transportation, and employment challenges.

Capital Area Health Network invites you to join us at our annual Live Healthy Campaign Block Party in 2009. We envision a fun and innovative health fair with a “block party” atmosphere that celebrates the importance of health and its impact on quality of life! While our main goal is to provide primary medical, dental, mental health, and HIV/AIDS care, we also realize that health education is vital to the health status of our patients. The “Live Healthy Campaign” is an initiative to educate our community on the benefits of getting and staying healthy.

We have a power packed event planned for the entire family. We will bring the streets to life at our Vernon J. Harris location (719 N. 25^th Street) to celebrate our theme of “Living Healthy.” We will feature health screenings, healthy living demonstrations, kids’ activities, arts and crafts, music, and more! This year we introduce the ground breaking “Rock the Parking Lot” event, a totally out of the box exercise experience for all ages featuring aerobics, boot camp, karate, and tai-chi.

We need your support to make this event a success. Please help our community to “Live Healthy” by sponsoring our Live Healthy Campaign Block Party. We have several sponsorship options:

We are also seeking donations of gift cards, promotional items, and products to give away at the event.

Your sponsorship will help us with the cost of our event and will also support our community residents. A portion of your donation will go to our Patient Assistance Fund. This is an assistance fund to help our uninsured patients with their medical and dental expenses.
